Dizaino priemonės ir metodai gali spręsti socialinius iššūkius, formuoti ateities vizijas, kurti įtraukiant bendruomenes. Skamba kaip optimistinė utopija? Nebūtinai. Tarptautinės dizaino dienos proga vyks dizaino rezidencija, kurios metu dizaineriai Marcin Nowicki (PL) ir Yuri Veerman (NL) tyrinės įžūlaus optimizmo temą (iš anglų k. Outlandish Optimism).

Kartu su jais visą laikotarpį dirbs ir jaunieji dizaineriai. Nagrinėdami temą dizaineriai dalinsis patirtimi, savo darbo metodais, skatins kritinį mąstymą, bendruomenių ir dizainerių bendradarbiavimą. Rezidencijų programos rezultatus jie išdrįs pristatyti balandžio 27 d.

Design tools and methods can solve social challenges, shape visions for the future, and create engaging communities. Sounds like a utopian optimist? Not necessarily. As part of the International Design Day, a design residency will take place, where designers Marcin Nowicki (PL) and Yuri Veerman (NL) will investigate the theme of Outlandish Optimism. Together with them, young designers will work throughout the period. By exploring the theme, designers will share their experiences, work methods, and encourage critical thinking, community and designer collaboration. The results of the residency program will be presented on April 27.

Jurga Želvytė - dizainerė, turinti ilgametę leidybos, tarpdisciplininio dizaino formų, socialinio dizaino patirtį, kūrybos vadovė leidykloje „Alma Littera“, Lietuvos dizaino asociacijos valdybos narė.

Jurga Želvytė is a designer with extensive experience in publishing, interdisciplinary design forms, and social design, serving as a creative director at Alma Littera publishing house and a member of the Lithuanian Design Association's board.
