Philosopher David M. Kaplan dared to argue that food is an ambiguous phenomenon. Is it nature, nutrition, biological fuel for the body, medicine, diet, pleasure, taboo, commodity, one of the basic needs of survival, a medium for communicating meaning, a means of expressing spirituality, a recipe or… art?

Filosofas David M. Kaplan drįso teigti, kad maistas yra nevienareikšmis reiškinys. Tai gamta, mityba, biologinis kuras organizmui, medicina, dieta, malonumas, tabu, prekė, vienas pagrindinių išgyvenimo poreikių, prasmės komunikacijos medija, dvasingumo raiškos priemonė, receptas arba… menas? Ar išdrįsi paragauti visų maisto prasmių?

Tauras Stalnionis – dizaineris, tyrėjas bei šefas gyvenantis tarp Romos ir Vilniaus. Paskutinį dešimtmetį Tauras praleido skirtingose šalyse Europoje ir Azijoje kurdamas produktus, erdves, grafiką bei dėstydamas dizainą, o dabar dirba po „Café Müller” studijos vardu.

It is nature, nutrition, biological fuel for the body, medicine, a diet, pleasure, a taboo, a commodity, one of the basic survival needs, a medium for communication of meaning, a means of expressing spirituality, a recipe, or... art? Will you dare to taste all the meanings of food?
The event is free of charge, and no registration is required.
Performance curators:
Tauras Stalnionis – designer, researcher, and chef living between Rome and Vilnius. Over the past decade, Tauras has lived in various countries across Europe and Asia, creating products, spaces, and graphics, as well as teaching design. He now works under the name of the "Café Müller" studio.
