In February, a book inspired by extraordinary optimism was published - "Tara: Then and Now, Here and There". It is a book that tells the story of the most important graphic design institution operating in Vilnius in the 1960s and 1970s - the Experimental Container and Packaging Design Bureau, and the artists who worked there.

In February, a book imbued with exceptional optimism was published — Tara: Then and Now, Here and There. This publication tells the story of the Experimental Packaging and Container Design Bureau, the leading graphic design institution in Vilnius during the 1960s to 1980s, and the artists who contributed to its creative output. The book will be presented by Dr. Karolina Jakaitė, Deimantė Jasiulevičiūtė, Zuzana Kostelanská, and Oriol Cabarrocas.

Karolina Jakaitė ir Deimantė Jasiulevičiūtė: „Knygą kūrėme kaip grafinio dizaino eksperimentą, įvedėme žaismingą būdą pažinti „Taros“ biuro pavyzdžius per teminius ABC skyrius ir Glosarijaus navigaciją. Per visą knygą tarsi įspaudai ant pakuočių yra pažymėti Glosarijaus raktiniai žodžiai, leidžiantys naviguoti tarp tada ir dabar, čia ir ten, šiek tiek kontekstualiau supažindinantys su „Taros“ biuro laikotarpiu, ten kūrusių dailininkų intencijomis ir praktikomis.
Karolina Jakaitė and Deimantė Jasiulevičiūtė: “We approached the book as a graphic design experiment, introducing a playful way to explore the Bureau's work through thematic ABC sections and Glossary-based navigation. Throughout the book, like imprints on packaging, Glossary keywords are marked to guide the reader between then and now, here and there, providing a more contextual understanding of the Bureau’s era, the intentions and practices of the artists who worked there.”
